Research Center

Objectives and Goals

The Research and Services Headquarters was formed in August 2007 with four centers and two common laboratories. The general objectives of the headquarters are to effectively provide industrial services, promote the faculty and students’ ability in research and development, and develop platforms for industry-academia cooperation. The four centers and two common laboratories undertake regular evaluation and selection of outstanding works. In the future, we plan to integrate important techniques learned from each center and organize them using he Micro-Device Technology Laboratory and Ultra High Precision Machining Laboratory. Our ultimate goal is to become the main centers of industry, government, academics, and education in central and southern Taiwan.

◆ Industry-Academy Cooperation

The Headquarters has aligned itself with the Center for Affordable Nanoengineering of Polymetric Biomedical Device in Ohio State University, the Center for Micro/Nano Science and Technology in National Cheng-Kung University, and Belarus National Gomel University. It has contracted to HIWIN Technology Corporation, Foxconn Technology Group, Chunghwa Picture Tubes Ltd.., and Precision Motion Industries Inc. for industry-academy cooperation and mass production business.

◆ Achievements
