📢 Notice: TANet / TWAREN 400G Backbone Network Upgrade and Migration (Yunlin–Chiayi Regional Network Center)

To support the Ministry of Education's TANet 400G Backbone Network Upgrade Project and enhance the bandwidth and connectivity of the Yunlin–Chiayi regional academic network, physical network circuits and related services will be migrated from August 10 to August 13, 2026.

During the migration period, network services may experience temporary interruptions or unstable connections. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your understanding.

📌 Migration Schedule and Summary

Please refer to the detailed migration schedule below. The major activities for each day are summarized as follows:

August 10 (Day 1) | 09:00–17:00

Core Services and Infrastructure Migration

Migration of the Yunlin–Chiayi Regional Network Center's data center equipment, NTS servers, CDN services, and ISP/TANet Regional Network Center services.

August 11 (Day 2) | 09:00–17:00

Connected Institutions and Regional Network Services Migration

  • 09:00–12:00 / 13:00–15:00 – Migration of Connected Institutions (Groups A & B)

  • 15:00–17:00 – Migration of Regional Network Center services

August 12 (Day 3) | 09:00–17:00

TANet Y-Type Connected Institutions and CCU GigaPoP Migration

  • 09:00–15:00 – Migration of TANet Y-Type Connected Institutions (Groups A & B)

  • 15:00–17:00 – Migration of TWAREN National Chung Cheng University GigaPoP connected institutions

August 13 (Day 4) | 09:00–17:00

TWAREN Backbone Network Migration

Final-stage migration for TWAREN Yunlin–Chiayi Regional Network Center Y-Type connected institutions and National Chung Cheng University GigaPoP.

During the scheduled migration period for your institution, temporary network interruptions, latency, or unstable connections may occur.

Advance Planning

Please avoid performing critical online operations or large-scale data transfers during the migration periods whenever possible.

Service Restoration

Network services will be restored immediately after each migration task is completed. No separate notification will be issued. If network connectivity problems persist after the migration, please restart your local network equipment.
