Hiring Unit Office of Student Affairs, Student Counseling Center
Position Title Resource Room Counselor
Number of Openings 1 primary position, with 1–2 alternates (if no suitable alternate candidates are found, an alternate list need not be established).
Job Duties
  1. Implementing the Ministry of Education-subsidized program for counseling students with disabilities at this university, covering two dimensions: student educational counseling and counseling administration.
  2. The student educational counseling component includes providing life, psychological, learning, and transition-related services, among others, to students holding a Disability Manual and Certificate of Disability.
  3. The counseling administration component includes liaison and coordination with the Ministry of Education, various campus units, students and their parents, faculty, and departments, as well as management of the Resource Room's space and equipment, organizing extracurricular activities, and writing and compiling outcome reports.
  4. Coordinating basic academic subject tutoring and peer counseling at the Resource Room, requiring one night-shift rotation per week.
  5. Other tasks assigned as needed.
Qualifications
  1. Graduate of a domestic or foreign university department/program in psychology, counseling, special education, social work, assistive technology, rehabilitation counseling, or early intervention.
  2. Experience in or willingness to engage in counseling work for students with disabilities preferred; experience in or interest in counseling-related administrative work is a plus.
  3. This position requires strong communication and administrative execution skills. Candidates must demonstrate a high tolerance for frustration and ability to withstand stress when facing challenges, along with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  4. Given the need for continuity and completeness in this role, candidates should be willing to make a long-term commitment; those seeking short-term positions need not apply.
  5. Proficient in office software (Microsoft Office, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
  6. This position is not open to the spouse or relatives within the third degree of consanguinity or affinity of the university president or the supervisor of the hiring unit.
  7. Candidates with disabilities or of Indigenous status are preferred.
  8. Applicants must comply with relevant laws and regulations, and must not hold household registration in mainland China, nor hold a mainland China passport, ID card, settlement permit, or residence permit; otherwise, they will not be eligible for this position.

Notes
  1. This position is hired in accordance with the "Ministry of Education Guidelines for Subsidizing the Recruitment and Counseling of Students with Disabilities at Colleges and Universities." It is an informal, off-establishment temporary position hired under a project appointment. Salary is determined based on the hired individual's education level (master's or bachelor's degree) in accordance with the university's "Resource Room Counseling Personnel Salary Scale": NT$40,432 for candidates without Ministry of Education Special Education Professional Certification; NT$45,052 for candidates with a bachelor's degree who have passed the Ministry of Education Special Education Certification; and NT$47,363 for candidates with a master's degree who have passed the Ministry of Education Special Education Certification.
  2. The appointment period runs from the date of reporting for duty until the conclusion of the project (December 31, 2026).
  3. Candidates participating in the selection process must comply with the Act Governing Relations Between the People of the Taiwan Area and the Mainland Area. Once notified for an interview by the hiring unit based on merit, the candidate must cooperate with the hiring unit in confirming whether any circumstances specified under Article 9-1 of the Act apply.
  4. The university will notify candidates for an interview based on the results of the document review; those who do not receive an interview notification will not receive further notice, reply, or return of their application materials.
