Position Title

Assistant Staff (Substitute Position)

Job Duties

  1. Promoting campus sustainability initiatives, and regularly publishing sustainability reports and carbon inventory statements.

  2. Planning and organizing environmental education-related training courses, capacity-building activities, and exchange sessions.

  3. Handling matters related to the National Sustainable Development Award and the UI GreenMetric World University Rankings submissions.

  4. Other tasks assigned as needed.

Qualifications

  1. Must hold a master's degree.

  2. Experience in proposal writing, project management, and event planning preferred.

  3. Experience in executing projects related to sustainable development or environmental education fields preferred.

  4. Experience with carbon inventory work preferred (candidates holding an ISO 14064 Carbon Inventory Verifier certification or an ISO 14067 Carbon Footprint Standard Lead Verifier certification will be given priority).

  5. Proficiency in computer office software and presentation creation is preferred.

  6. Strong communication, coordination, and teamwork skills are preferred.

  7. Candidates with disabilities or of Indigenous status are preferred.

  8. This position is not open to the spouse or relatives within the third degree of consanguinity or affinity of the university president or the supervisor of the contracting unit.

  9. Applicants must comply with relevant laws and regulations, and must not hold household registration in mainland China, nor hold a mainland China passport, ID card, settlement permit, or residence permit; otherwise, they will not be eligible for this position.

Notes

  1. This position addresses the personnel need created by a vacancy in the unit's civil service staff position, pending assignment of a successful candidate from the civil service examination, and is filled as an off-establishment university-appointed staff position (substitute position) , with a salary of NT$38,429 based on a master's degree.

  2. The contract period runs from the date of reporting for duty until the date the department's regular staff member reports for duty (October 31, 2026). Upon expiration of the appointment period, the employee must complete the departure procedures as required, and the position may not be renewed or extended for any reason. Related personnel management shall be handled in accordance with the university's regulations for university-appointed personnel.

  3. Candidates participating in the selection process must comply with the Act Governing Relations Between the People of the Taiwan Area and the Mainland Area. Once notified for an interview by the hiring unit based on merit, the candidate must cooperate with the hiring unit in confirming whether any circumstances specified under Article 9-1 of the Act apply.
