In order to promote youth employment and strengthen industry-academia connections, National Formosa University partnered with the Yun-Chia-Nan Branch of the Workforce Development Agency, Ministry of Labor, to hold the "Tiger's Embrace: Salary Creation — Campus Job Fair" at NFU on 4/23 (Wednesday). The event attracted more than 100 domestic and international companies to set up recruitment booths, offering nearly 4,000 job openings, with some companies even offering positions with annual salaries reaching a million NT dollars, demonstrating their strong determination to attract top talent.
NFU has partnered with the Yun-Chia-Nan Branch for more than 11 years, achieving a graduate employment rate of 94.27%, and has also been ranked among the top five national universities of science and technology in the "Most Preferred University Graduates by Employers" survey, reflecting strong recognition from employers of students' workplace capabilities. Both parties have also promoted programs such as "Industry-Academia Joint Training Programs" and "Industry New Talent Program," actively cultivating talent who combine practical skills with cross-disciplinary integration expertise.
NFU President Chang Hsin-Liang stated that through the job fair, young students can interact with employers while still in school, gaining early insight into industry needs and employment conditions, which helps them plan their coursework and refine their approach to learning. He also noted that society is not actually lacking in talented individuals — every job seeker is a "thousand-mile horse" — what is missing is the connection with a discerning "talent scout." He emphasized the importance of establishing a good matching mechanism to help facilitate suitable connections between talent and companies, which can also provide meaningful benefits for corporate development.
Liu Pang-Tung, Director of the Ministry of Labor's Yun-Chia-Nan Branch, stated that the campus job fair serves not only as a job-seeking channel for graduating seniors, but he also encouraged students who have not yet graduated to attend, engaging face-to-face with corporate HR representatives. He noted that doing so not only helps students hone their social skills, but also allows them to exchange information and understand what talent companies are seeking, which they can then bring back to class to discuss with their instructors, incorporating relevant learning needs into their coursework to help them integrate more quickly into industry in the future.
This year's job fair featured a strong lineup of participating companies, spanning diverse industries including semiconductors, precision machinery, electronics, aircraft maintenance, textiles, and green energy. Participating companies included Siliconware Precision Industries, Vanguard International Semiconductor, Hiwin Technologies, Chien Chun Industry, Fareast Machinery Group, Lite-On Technology, Chenbro Micom, Sunteams Industrial, Hu Lane Associate, Largan Precision, Evergreen Aviation Technologies, Uni-President Enterprises' Great China Metal Industry (Cheng Uei International), and Pukang Wind Energy, among others. Notably, one automatic control equipment manufacturer offered a position with a monthly salary as high as NT$100,000, and several government agencies also participated in the recruitment drive.
To improve convenience for job seekers, the Huwei Employment Center also provided a "Resume Generation" service, allowing job seekers to simply fill in their basic information using their mobile phone and receive a personalized resume on-site, improving interview efficiency and offering graduating seniors and local youth a direct opportunity to connect with industry.
