In response to the global expansion of semiconductor production capacity and the growing demand for talent in the aerospace industry, National Formosa University partnered with the Yun-Chia-Nan Branch of the Workforce Development Agency, Ministry of Labor, to hold the grand "Tiger's Leap into a Bright Career" campus job fair on May 6 (Wednesday). The event attracted 112 quality companies, including Largan Precision, Vanguard International Semiconductor, King Yuan Electronics, Hiwin Technologies, and Evergreen Aviation Technologies (EGAT), offering a total of nearly 4,000 job openings. Benefiting from strong demand for AI hardware, some companies on site even offered generous packages with annual salaries in the millions (NT dollars) to compete for job-ready talent.

Current employment trends in the market have evolved from simple "digital transformation" to "hardware intelligentization," with demand for STEM talent possessing hands-on experience continuing to rise. NFU President Chang Hsin-Liang stated that the university's employment matching collaboration with the Ministry of Labor has spanned more than 12 years, with graduate employment rates holding steady at 94%. He noted that the key lies in precisely aligning the curriculum with industry pain points, so that students develop the ability to solve real-world industry problems while still in school.

Looking at the companies participating this year, King Yuan Electronics and Vanguard International Semiconductor targeted professionals in fields such as semiconductor packaging/testing and process monitoring; Largan Precision and Hiwin Technologies focused on NFU's expertise in precision machinery and automation; while Evergreen Aviation Technologies sought out NFU's leading aerospace maintenance technology. This reflects that market demand for cross-disciplinary technical talent who combine "maintenance, design, and operation" has become the dominant theme in this year's job market.

Beyond offering high salaries to attract talent, this year's job fair also reflected the strategic direction of Taiwan's industrial structural transformation. For the first time, the event was combined with Yunlin County's Senior Talent Service Center, making it the first job fair in Yunlin to embody the dual spirit of "youth recruitment" and "senior-friendly" employment.

Liu Pang-Tung, Director of the Yun-Chia-Nan Branch of the Workforce Development Agency, Ministry of Labor, pointed out that in response to the challenges of a declining birth rate and an aging population, businesses are actively pursuing job redesign, allowing the technological application skills of young talent to complement the practical experience of more experienced workers. In addition to offering job openings for young job seekers, this year's fair also provided opportunities for experienced professionals to return to the workforce or continue their careers, reflecting a new trend toward a more diverse and inclusive job market.

Notably, the high-salary positions offered this year were largely concentrated in fields such as AI automation implementation, smart manufacturing process R&D, and aerospace engineering. Leveraging its long-standing strengths in mechanical and electronic engineering, aerospace electronic systems, and materials technology, NFU has become a key partner for companies establishing technology R&D centers in central and southern Taiwan.
